Just thought I'd start a thread on it...

I'm trying to remember how to play RTS' all over again so if anyone else has bought it and wants to beat up on me just let me know.

In the mean time I have begun reading up on how to play as I knock the 500 or so layers of rust off my StarCraft skills and thought I'd throw out a really good reference site I've found...

Husky StarCraft is a youtube channel that has some very well done tutorials and some nice game caps.

It is! I haven't bought Starcraft II yet, but there's this handy feature where you can play offline as someone else's guest so I started the campaign late last night. The similarity to Firefly in the video clips and ship was funny, but the gameplay felt like the original, only updated.

I'm about halfway through the campaign at this point and yeah the game play is practically the same.  IMO that's a good thing.  They didn't need to recreate the wheel.

The major changes seem to be around functionality like the expanded Multi-player and replay abilities and some neat in game tweaks with unit management.

Beyond that basic game mechanics seem the same.  Terran = balance  Zerg = uhm... well... Zerging  Protos = survivability.  Would have been nice for them to add the Zel Naga as playable... maybe in the expansion.

I know I'm extremely late to this party, but the game came out the day Tara and I landed in England, so I had to wait a couple weeks to jump on the wagon.  Now that I have the campaign under control, I've started messing with multiplayer.
